Mazamaesso ASSIH

(Togo First) - Mazamaesso ASSIH is barely 40 years old but plays a key role in Faure Gnassingbé's development policies. She is the head of the secretariat in charge of financial inclusion and the informal sector.

Her career, built around health insurance and risk management for actors in the informal sector, began in 2011, in Paris at the Italian company Générali. Between 2013 and 2014, she moved to the FGTI/FGAO (a guarantee fund) in Paris. After this, she returned to Togo and joined the National Fund for Inclusive Finance (FNFI) as an Insurance Manager.

Back home, she rose very quickly through the ranks, taking top positions within the FNFI which now spearheads the President's ambition to end poverty. It was in 2017 that the former ESA (Ecole Supérieure des Assurances) graduate took over the Secretariat in charge of financial inclusion and the informal sector.

Her initiatives contributed to Togo having one of the best inclusion rates in the WAEMU. Involved in politics as well, Mazamaesso ASSIH is the Deputy General Delegate for the youth in the ruling party, the Unir.
